All Done

Brooklyn is out of surgery, and the neurosurgeon said she did great with her shunt. Her swelling is already going down in her ventricles, and they have measured her head circumference, and it has already gone down as well. So, she was sleeping soundly when we had to leave, and hopefully she'll have a restful night and perk up tomorrow. They said she should be able to eat and everything tomorrow, so we'll hope for that. Mainly, we just want her to feel better and not hurt!! She evidently was terribly fussy for about the last 24 hours, and they are pretty sure it was because of her horrible headache and hungry tummy. So, hopefully we have put that to rest! Poor baby... now she just will need to eat and be all better!

Unfortunately, I have to ask for prayers for something else now. They have heard a small heart murmur, so they have scheduled an echo of her heart for Tues. The doctor today said that if she actually does have one, that it is small. I honestly do not know what to think about this news, and am kinda choosing not to for now. I need to just get through what we did today first! But, please stick that on your list as well. We are thrilled and thankful that she has come out of her two surgeries in 5 days really well... she is quite the champ. And as we were having to leave this evening (it is SO hard!!), she was pushing like crazy with those little legs. The girl has serious strength!! So, we'll pray for a seriously strong and healthy heart as well.

Ok, that is about it for now. R got to see her today before surgery, and the sweet nurse Claire pulled out some Christmas stickers and paper and glitter glue and helped Reagan make a card for her sister. It was about the sweetest thing ever. So, we are clinging to those sweet memories of this hospital stay! I'll fill in more tomorrow, but it will hopefully be restful and uneventful for our girl. Love to all!

So glad that the surgery went well! :) We are very thankful for that!!

I'm not making light of things, but I just wanted you to know that Jerrod has a small heart murmur and it has NEVER been an issue. He has always been able to do whatever he wanted without any problems what so ever. I just thought I'd let you know that :)

I'll keep her in my prayers as always :)

Cason also has a small heart murmur and had an echo when he was in the NICU. They listen to it at every check up and it's there, but small. They don't feel like it's ever going to be an issue. So, hopefully B's won't be either. That sweet girl has had a rough couple of days. Glad she is going to be able to rest for a little while. Love yall!

I am so relieved to know that the shunt is already showing it's effects. Yea! I will pray hard that the hole is just really small and will close on it's own so it is a non-issue. That precious baby and you all have been through so much in just a few days....bless your hearts. I think of you all daily and wish I could be there to give you a super big hug. Love to all!
