One Year Pictures

We hit Portrait Innovations yesterday for Reagan's 1 year old pictures. Man, that place knows what they are doing. I had every intention of going in, getting one pose in each outfit, and not spending lots of money on lots of portraits. But seriously, when they take 73 pictures of the cutest kid EVER, it makes it hard to narrow it down even to 6!!! So I thought I did pretty good. They gave me a cd with all 73, but I thought I would just show off the 6 we came home with. :)
Enjoy!
Picking out her clothes was hard! I had decided that with all our children, should we be blessed with more, we would do 1 year pics in Longhorn gear. Plus, I wanted her in a cute dress. This is my favorite dress of the moment, and this is Reagan's favorite thing to do at the portrait studio... rocking!
I loved this one because of the angle he took. This is how I see her all day long... from above! We have a ginormous amount of this close up. It was just so "her"! And I try only to do wallets if it is a close up picture, and this was the best one in my opinion. IF you would like one, I'll send it to you! I have tons!
This was the "free" big black and white that came with our pictures. We only got one... Katie (my MIL) loves black and whites, so we got this one for her.
Little Miss Sassy! Couldn't resist buying this one! I see this look daily...
And I copied Cassidee's 1 year pictures with this pose. :)
The other 67 were good too! It was brutal trying to pick!

Fantastic News... AGAIN!

Lots of great news for my sweet friends in the last couple of days. First of all, the Grand Kanyon came through his last surgery PERFECTLY with no extra time on the vent or anything! They are back home now, getting back to normal routine, and he is doing great! God has been SO faithful to that sweet faithful family, and this is yet another answered prayer that Kanyon will get to hear about when he gets bigger. Keep praying for that sweet little man.
Also... here are my sweet friends Amie and Bradley... who are going to be parents in 3 weeks!!! Such answered prayers... I can't even begin to tell you. But they found out yesterday that they have been picked to be the precious parents to a precious baby due Aug 19! Please pray for this sweet family, and for the birthmom and baby... that all goes through perfectly! We are so excited for them!

Birthday Boy

Happy Birthday to David on Christmas in July!
I am married to the most wonderful, thoughtful, handsome, hilarious man there ever was, and I am so thankful he chose me to spend all his birthdays with!!
One of my favorite pictures of David. He just looks so darn good in a tux!
Another of my favorites for many reasons. Straight out of the operating room, Proud Papa showing off Reagan's little feet! He is such a tremendous Daddy... Reagan and I are so blessed!
Happy Birthday David! Can't believe 30 is finally here...

I almost forgot...

Quick Story:
I got David a new PS3 for his birthday... I know, Wife of the Century. Anyways, Friday night the boys were of course playing NCAA Football, and decided they needed some cable for the picture to look its finest. So he and I head off the to the WalMart in Galveston and arrive in the store at 12:00... on the dot. I am thinking to myself, "Man, why do all these parents have their kids up this late? What is the deal with all the kids running around WalMart at midnight?" Seems like that is always the case, but then I remembered that the new Harry Potter book went on sale at midnight. OH. MY. WORD. There were literally hundreds of people lined up waiting for the WalMart lovelies to break open those cases of books. We left. There were only 2 cashiers open and we were behind the masses just wanting to purchase a video game cable.
The word you are looking for is "Anyways..."
What I want to know is, how many of you, my precious friends, were amongst the midnight purchasers that stayed up all night Friday night reading that book? I may have to make fun of you behind your back, or in a comment on your blog. :) :) :)

Last Weekend

Well, I will have to wait and post pics from Reagan's pool party... found out the problem has not been blogger, but rather our new external harddrive. Thought I was being so good and saving our pictures on it so they would be safe, but it is acting up and freezing up the computer every time I try to access them. So.... a little bit of backfire. But David will fix it I'm sure later. I have some great pictures from her party, so I will still have to post them! They'll just be old news by then.

Anyways...
We were in Galveston last weekend at Brenna's folks' beach house to celebrate David's big THREE-OH birthday a little early. I am ashamed to say that I was TERRIBLE and didn't take that many pictures! So unlike me these days! Seriously, I took like 10 the whole weekend. But I do have some and a few just cute pictures of the kiddo. Here she is with her new obsession... shoes. She is such a girl! When she isn't wearing them (which is often since she likes to take them off!!), she carries them around the house and tries to get them on her feet herself. She has yet to be successful, but she'll hold them between her feet so it feels like she did it. Then maybe she'll just kiss the other one lovingly...
This was just a cute smiley face. And her new cute shirt... in honor of Daddy's birthday weekend.
And THANK YOU to best friend Carol for this ADORABLE outfit! This is the biggest bow of her entire life, but I just LOVE it! Julie, I think I may be on to something here. Probably not for EVERYday, but special occasions maybe! :)
Showing off her new bow. And of course, sitting with her shoes. (The flip flops on her outfit are SO appropriate!)
The porch swing at the Galveston house was a HUGE hit! She is such an adrenaline junkie! I couldn't make it go high or fast enough for this little thrill-seeker. But we had lots of fun swinging together.

Thanks to help from Brenna and Emily, I had another masterpiece of a birthday cake for the party. :) Ok, so maybe it looked like a cake for a 4 year old, but I was proud anyways! Here is the birthday boy with his cake about to blast off...
I'm sure you need a closer look.
He actually wore the hat I bought for him for about 3 seconds.
I just thought this was a cute picture of the Isbell boys hanging out by the food. Reagan was SO glad Uncle Scott, Aunt Emily, and Brandon got to come down and party with us!
Ok, so the hat looked a LOT cuter on her than on David.

Uncle Turbo scored some serious points with the leftover cupcakes.
Guess she got a little drunk on the sugar!

Just a sweet pic of me and the kid chillaxin' in the hammock.
We had such fun... so much that I have hardly any pictures to show for it. I was too busy I guess! But hope you all had as great a weekend as we did! Now, wish me luck being able to access all my other pictures on the computer.... There are only about 1200 on there that I can't get to right now... yuck.

Oh Blogger...

Blogger hates me right now. For the last couple of days actually. No pictures, keeps freezing up my computer, killin' me. Hopefully more luck later....

Birthday Girl

Here is the sweet-girl's 12 months photo in her chair. See the previous post if you haven't seen the other 11! :)
It ended up with her standing in the chair, then later taking a nose-dive onto the carpet. She thought it was SO funny!!! We'll see if I have the strength to continue this every month until she is better at sitting still!
Granddaddy, Grandmommy, Grammy, and Pop all came down for her first birthday party! (I say first literally... there is another next weekend!) One of the presents from Grandmommy and Granddaddy got ripped when on the plane, so she got to open it before the party. Check out that look on her face! So fun! As was the lion for her Animal Train.
I told David that this was a first of many times I will write on the plate for our kids' birthdays. :)
We had a luau themed party... but the pool was rained out of course. But thanks to Cassidee, Reagan was decked out to celebrate! The skirt was WAY too big, so it was for pictures only. As was the headband that she was bound to break. But I was thrilled that she left her "coconuts" alone the entire party! Brandon didn't though... wish I had a picture to blackmail him with later of his grabbing my girl's coconuts!!!
We had fajitas (Mexico/Hawaii... whatever), fruit, and cake. I made it myself with a little help from my Moms. Kinda proud of it! :)

Our attempt to let her blow out the candle turned into keeping her from grabbing the flame. I had to help out a bit....
I liked this picture because it looks like her coconuts are leaking. :) It was really her juice.
Pop helping her get her balloons. The balloons were a huge hit!
Granddaddy and Grandmommy came prepared with Hawaiian gear! Poor Dad was sick the whole weekend, but he was such a trooper!!!
Uncle Turbo and Aunt Mary showing Reagan the little drink umbrellas.
This was hilarious. (Not quite as hilarious as the coconut grab...) Brandon and Reagan were going for the same blue coin. It's a standoff.
Hope you can see the triumphant look on her face! That little stinker... she's got attitude.
Reagan and Andrew putting in the new cars of her Animal Train. I highly recommend this toy! She LOVES it!!!
Reagan hanging out with Mr. Will and Natalie. Mr. Will was our handy "put all the toys together" guy! Thanks Mr. Will!!!
Girl got her own Nalgene sippy cup from Aunt Mary and Uncle Kyle!!
Enjoying the tissue paper as much as Aunt BB and Uncle Turbo's present!
Very cool flower attached to Grammy and Pop's present!
And the cake!!! I of course stripped her down first...
Much to her Daddy's chagrin, she was pretty dainty about the whole thing!

Stay tuned for more birthday party pics to come! I know you are all SO excited! :)

Happy Birthday Sweet Reagan

Everyone tells you it will eventually happen... that you will reach the point in life where you're constantly asking "where did the time go?". Well, I'm there. Three hundred and sixty-five days ago, I woke up and got my fat butt out of bed, took a shower where I couldn't see my feet, did my hair and my makeup (the beauty of the scheduled c-section), and headed to the hospital to become Mommy. And it literally seems like yesterday. When Reagan was about 8 weeks old or so, it had seemed like YEARS, but now it seems like yesterday. How can one little person bring so much joy?! Until Reagan, I don't think I really had much of a concept of God's love for his children... for me. But having her in my life and loving her so much it is indescribable, I now have a teensy glimpse of why Jesus did what He did. I will be forever thankful to Reagan for helping me understand that to some extent. David and I can't imagine life without our Little Bear, and we look forward to celebrating birthdays with her for years to come! Especially since later she will appreciate and remember them! Here was our first birthday celebration as a family, July 6, 2006. (and please remember that I had a ridiculous amount of drugs running through my system at this point...)
Here is that fat-ness I was speaking of. Man, I was huge. We took one last picture as just "us" before heading to the operating room.
And out she came, all 8 and a half pounds of her. Poor baby's feet stuck straight up in the air for several days, understandable after being in the pike position for 9 months! But her head was nice and round though!
Our first family photo as the new "us".
The first of a billion-plus kisses.
Reagan at 1 month. Poor dear, the baby acne hit the day before. 2 months
3 months
4 months
5 months
6 months
7 months
8 months
9 months
10 months
11 months
And the 12 months pics with her first party pictures will have to wait until tomorrow. It is a
2-man job to get her to sit in her chair for a photo these days, so we'll wait until Daddy is home!
I love you Reagan Noel Beaver. God must think I am pretty special for letting me be your Mommy, and I am so thankful for it.
