The End of an Era

About a year ago, we realized not only was Brooklyn a "paci" kinda girl, but she was becoming very attached to the ribbon on her paci clip.  About that time, she was really into twisting her paci so that the ribbon would curl up in a little ball.  Then she'd take it out, unroll it, then twist it up again.  Not long after, the obsession became pulling the ribbon up under her nose, like this.
She must like the feel, smell, or both.  (Reagan is a HUGE "smell" girl, and I think B will be too.)  That spot on the ribbon under her nose gets SO GROSS.  Anyways, we are thinking about.... someday.... ditching the paci.... when "we're" ready.  But I decided we'd have to ditch the ribbon first.  Maybe she can start smelling the Purple blankie instead, like Reagan does.  Then she'd still have a smell to comfort her when we get rid of the pacis for good (which, right now, are for bedtime and doctor appts only).  Can you tell in this pic she is ready for me stop taking her picture and rock her?!?  Tired bear.

So, this was taken to document her last rock-rock with her paci ribbon.  It's been a couple of days now, and she still reaches around a little bit, trying to find it attached to her.  But, all is well and she's sleeping fine.  Now, we'll see when "we're" actually ready for the paci to go.... it'll be awhile.  :)
Had to take a pic of the first time she wore a nightgown to sleep in.  Seems like SUCH a big girl thing.
Reagan is in SUCH a crafty phase.  I find her like this almost every waking moment.... either with scissors, glue, markers, colors, SOMETHING creative.  I absolutely LOVE it and hope we keep doing this together for YEARS.  In this pic, we've drawn all the Veggie Tales and she is cutting them out to glue on a card.
Taking a marker break for a little TV.  Even the best creative moments need a rest.  :)

I know I'm hair obsessed and not only am I jealous of your hair, but look at B's hair!!!

K is a thumb girl and with her "sparkling" personality I really worry about that showdown. I really hope she kicks it on her own.
