Quick Brooklyn Update

I can't sleep.... too much running through my head I guess. I'm TIRED, but not sleepy. I get more and more like this these days... getting old?! I don't know. It bothers me. Regardless, I'll use this time to update.

Anyways, so many of you sweet folks have been praying for our family and asking me about things. Especially about Brooklyn's appts. So, here's a little update. And it is late coming because there was a mix-up with the schedules (I think it was THEIR mix-up, but whatever...), so we had to reschedule her 15 month visit. So, it was just last Thurs. And honestly, we didn't find out much. Her UTI is cleared up, so that is greatness. I will be talking to her urologist tomorrow to find out a game-plan, but for now I believe it will be to "wait and see if we discover a pattern." I don't think he will put her back on meds and caths with just one UTI, but we'll see I guess. And, I now have to have her see a pediatric audiologist... to get her hearing checked. Just what I was hoping for... another specialist!!! Yeah, right! :) Obviously the girl can hear, but we need to make sure she hears well. No idea how they will do that with a kiddo her age, but I'll post about it I'm sure! We just need to rule out any hearing issues so we can further her therapy with speech. No talking yet, but she did make an "M" sound some this week for the first time ever! Even repeated it after me a few times. We will take any progress as it comes!

So, there ya go. Oh, and little roly-poly squirt weighed 23 lbs at the doctor..... um, yeah.... those squats I did all day at the strawberry patch with her made this outta-shape Mommy unable to walk for 2 days! She's SOLID! :)

That's all for now. Easter pics coming soon.... but I'm gonna try and sleep. Thanks SO much for the prayers!!! We continue to need them and be blessed richly by them!!Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

We had to do hearing tests with Caleb when he was that age because he had lots of ear infections. It was no big deal... they sit on your lap in a little room and the audiologist makes the different toys make noise and sees how they respond. Caleb thought it was awesome and would clap along with the music.
