On July 4th, we had a fairly relaxed day with friends. Hamburgers, chips and dips, playing inside because the mosquitos were ferocious... typical summer fun.
That night we opted to watch the fireworks from the Walgreens parking lot rather than the city park. Worked out PERFECTLY... less crowded, didn't have to park-n-ride, got snacks inside the store, and we're far enough away that they aren't very loud. Perfect, especially for Brook.
The Deckers joined us... Nathaniel's first time for fireworks. He was MUCH more interested in running around the blocked off parking lot than sitting!
Some firemen and their truck were parked there too, which was SUPER fun for the kids! They got a tour, got to talk with the men for awhile, greatness.
AND sit in the drivers' seat!
Of course, Brooklyn fell IN LOVE with the "firefighter". She wanted to hug him for the next 30 minutes. Sweet girl. But goodness gracious, she LOVES men!!! We have our work cut out for us!
It was a great day. And after USA birthday, we move on to Reagan's bday...
